About

In Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Kirk prepares to fire back on the U.S.S. Reliant after a savage surprise attack against the Enterprise. A little known override known as the prefix code works to Kirk’s advantage. Using the prefix code, Kirk and Spock are able to lower the Reliant’s shields unexpectedly. As Khan realizes what’s happening, he becomes frantic. He sweeps the helm furiously looking for a way to raise the shields again. “Where’s the override, the override?!” he blurts out right before Enterprise returns fire.
